Join us for a fun of hands-on learning experience at the CO Project Farm! Our 1-day Farm, Food and Fermentation Workshop is packed full of lifestyle lessons on how to live sustainably and embrace a more regenerative lifestyle. Meet like-minded people and have an immersive experience on our beautiful organic farm!

Your 'out-of-city' experience will include:

  • Arrival on the farm and greeting by your host, who will take you on a tour of our various experimental approaches to small-scale organic farming, from permaculture to syntropic food forests

  • Tasting experience of our housemade Kombuchas in our Kombucha bar, with history of fermentation and application to modern living

  • Foraging for farm fresh ingredients and transforming them into beautiful, healthy vegetable-centric dishes in a hands on cooking class, then we enjoy lunch on our gorgeous outdoor terrace overlooking the property and surrounding hills

  • Afternoon exploring zero waste lifestyles by making your own unique products that you get to take home at the end of a fun and soul-nourishing day!

    Our 1-day Farm & Food Workshop content is tailored to each groups' learning desires and may cover topics like fermentation, pickling, preserves, DIY natural body products (such as soap or toothpaste), vegan cheese or milk making, and other fascinating everyday practices that help you adopt a more sustainable lifestyle.

EXPERIENCE DETAILS 

Our Farm & Food Workshops start at 10.30am and conclude at 4pm.

Trains depart Lisbon Santa Apolonia Station at 7.45am (regional train €10,10) or at 8am (fast train €18,60) and arrive at Tomar Station at 9.47am. Train departs back to Lisbon from Tomar at 5.11pm.

We offer a Tomar Station arrival pick-up at 10am and return drop-off at 4.30pm.

We are also an easy 1.5 hours drive from Lisbon

In summer, bring your swimming clothes for a cool dip in our natural pool!

EXPERIENCE OUTLINE 

10.30am: Arrival and welcome tea/coffee and housemade sweets

10.30am- 11am: Farm facility tour around sustainable design

11am-11.30am: Kombucha tasting and fermentation workshop part 1

11.30-12pm: Agricultural tour to forage for food and meet our animal family and learn about our small-scale organic agriculture projects

12am - 1.30pm: Vegetarian and vegan cooking class - under the guidance of our culinary team, transform what you harvested from the farm into a delicious and healthy vegetable-centric meal

1.30pm-2pm: Lunch on the sunny terrace overlooking the farm - enjoy a selection of local wines and cheeses with your midday extravaganza!

2.30-3pm: Afternoon relaxation - walk around freely and enjoy the farm or take a leisurely siesta in our orchard hammocks

3.30-4pm: Fermentation part 2 workshop and sustainable and zero-waste living workshop - discover many different ways to embrace sustainability in your daily life with our hands-on DIY workshop series and make something unique to take home with you

4pm: Wrap up the day's activities, farewells and train station drop-off

All of the CO Project Farm experiences are designed for individuals wanting to discover practical life skills through our unique perspective on sustainability. Our nature-based Brain Spa offers something for everyone in this beautiful corner of Portugal!

Our 1-Day Farm & Food Workshops are conducted in English.

All experiences incur an additional 23% Portuguese sales tax (i.e. IVA, aka VAT) that will be charged at checkout.
